The 1994-96 ZG 1000 Concours was the mid-life update of the 997 cc shaft-drive sport-tourer, with revised instruments, controls and front-end parts and wider tyres. The engine, frame design and touring layout stayed as before. It remained a heavy, long-distance machine rather than a sports bike.
